Developmental Self-Assessment II– Adolescence
Part II, The second part of your developmental autobiography will focus on adolescence, identity, and the extent to which your life has been influenced by elements such as gender, culture, social class, and temperament. It should address the following:
Describe the various ways that being a male/female seems to have affected your life.
Describe and explain your sense of moral development (refer to Fowler, Gilligan or Kohlberg and why you chose the model you did)
Describe the various ways that your culture/ethnicity seems to have influenced your life.
Describe how your social class has influenced you (beliefs, attitudes, self-concept, opportunities, etc.)
Describe the development of your identity:
Identify and describe what you feel are the most important elements of your identity (career, gender, ethnicity, family, etc.).
Which elements of your identity seem to be the most highly developed? Which elements are still very much a “work in progress?”
Describe experiences and/or role models that have helped you in the development of your identity.

Write at least two paragraphs at the end of the paper reflecting on the process of writing the Developmental Self-Assessment – what did you learn from writing part 1 and 2? How can this insight into yourself be useful to you (or not)?
