Overview
The structure of a maintenance organization is key to achieving safety, production efficiency, commitments to schedule, profitability, and overall customer satisfaction.
Maintenance Organizations
A maintenance, repair, and overhaul organization is complex set of constant moving parts with interdependent departments each doing a unique task, but working together, hopefully seamlessly to achieve common objectives completing a project. In this case, the project would be the maintenance and repair of either an aircraft, or engine, visiting the MRO facility.
Maintenance Organizations
Your future role as an aerospace professional may include you being the customer in which you must recommend or select a shop for the aircraft or fleet your support, or you be in a leadership position within an MRO shop in which you must achieve the operational and business objectives of the company (see first statement in Overview above).
This assignment will allow to to compare and contrast 2 MRO companies and to develop an organizational chart based upon either a) your research or b) your recommendations of how the functional organization will be organized based upon known services the MRO shop provides and the back shop requirements that support those delivered services.

Task
Select two (2) Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) facilities from the list given above.
Note: You must select two companies that fall within a common category of MRO. Example: Select either an aircraft, engine, component, APU, and Landing Gear MRO, etc. Pick a category that interests you the most.
Using a table to organization content, compare and contrast the two selected MRO organizations using the criteria listed below:
Type aircraft serviced
Services/maintenance/repair/overhaul provided
Unique service features (features that set them apart from others or are focused upon in the webpage/marketing)
Geographic domains (locations)
Note: you may add additional fields or criteria as desired.
Maintenance Organizations
Select one (1) of the previously selected two (2) MRO organizations and create an organizational chart with functional departments that could effectively execute the services they offer. Do this in one of the following ways:
your research of the company utilizing available public information or information that you derive/
your recommendations of how the functional organization should be organized based upon known services the MRO shop provides and the back shop requirements that support those delivered services. This cannot be a copy and paste of organizations found online. The organizational chart must align with the actual services the MRO provides.
